The striking savoir-faire of 'Tie & Dior' jewels

  • Share this:

Taking inspiration from the suffused and contrasting color effects of the tie-dye textile technique, the 'Tie & Dior' collection on.dior.com/savoirfaire-tieanddior by Victoire de Castellane is an exemplary example of Dior savoir-faire. In the haute joaillerie ateliers, the artisans work from the exquisitely rendered sketches to create mock-ups before starting on the real pieces. In a complicated array of prong settings, gemstones such as emeralds, pink and blue sapphires, Paraiba tourmalines, tsavorite garnets, spinels and rubies spread out in perfectly judged dégradé shades and are accented with pearls in a fascinating mix of lustrous hues.
